Edgar Wright, director of Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim Vs The World has resumed work on his screenplay for a movie about the under-appreciated Marvel super-hero Ant-Man after break of more than two years. Much of that break was spent on Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, another comic book property, albeit not one as big or franchise-driven as a Marvel super-hero. Although as Marvel super-heroes go, Ant-Man is going to be pretty...small (GET IT EVERYONE??). Wright: "This one's not about about the urgency of summer tentpoles and things going into production without a script. It's slightly different than that. " Anyway, funny super-heroes are in now, what with Iron Man and everything, especially if The Green Hornet does well financially this week. The question now is how involved Wright's Ant-Man will be in that whole overarching mythology thing Marvel is trying -- maybe Scott Pilgrim will get to joi The Avengers eventually? (24 Frames)
