In keeping with the tradition of splitting the finale of young adult epics into two, Deadline reports that Divergent’s final book, Allegiant, will now be told across two blockbuster films. It’s a growing trend that has been employed by franchises such as Twilight, The Hunger Games, and The Hobbit which all saw big profits when they decided to bogard their stash. Lionsgate/Summit will keep the original March 18, 2016 release date with the second half of that story following nearly a year later on March 24, 2017.
