The success of Alice In Wonderland made Disney execs’ pupils mutate into the shape of dollar signs and caused their bowties to spin like fan blades. So, it only makes sense that they are planning a new take on Cinderella.

They’ve approached Mark Romanek with a script from Th Devil Wears Prada scribe Aline Brosh McKenna under their arm, in the hopes that the Never Let Me Go director will agree to take the lead. In this update, the prince is set for a politically arranged marriage until he meets and falls in love with Cinderella, despite her pumpkin car and rodent friends. We can’t choose who we love, Dad!
