Director Danny Boyle loves making movies. That love is evident in all of his work, no matter how grim the subject matter. And it hopefully will be evident in his next project, Trance. Not much in the way of plot information, except that it’s “an art heist gone wrong, and it’s got the dark, sexy, hard-edged tone of Boyle films like Shallow Grave and Trainspotting.”
That sounds pretty good to me – an added bonus being that Trance is a really cool title. Another bonus is that Trance will continue Boyle’s partnership with producer Christian Colson, who also produced 127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire.
Don’t get too excited, though – because of Boyle’s obligations as the director of the opening ceremonies of next summer’s Olympic Games, Trance won’t be coming out until March, 2013. How many pun-headlines about the word “trance” will we see before then? (Deadline)
