Daniel Craig needs to get over himself.

The James Bond franchise is sacred ground - as in don’t you dare to sh*t on it like Daniel Craig has more than a few times. CAN YOU JUST MAKE UP YOUR MIND ALREADY? This entire “are you James Bond; are you NOT James Bond?” saga is starting to get REALLY old and tiresome. Craig nailed it in Quantum of Solace,  Casino Royale, and Skyfall - proving that he does in fact make a great 007. But then…Scepter, Spectre, Spector aka the movie that no one can pronounce - happened and it was pretty damn bad other than the Day of the Dead opening scene.

Before the release of Spectre, Craig revealed his true feelings about continuing his iconic (yes, I said it) role in an interview with Time Out:

“Now? I’d rather … slash my wrists,” he replied. “No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

Craig went onto say that he would only do another Bond film for the money, leading us up to the here and now. The next film in the franchise is none other than Bond 25, the super special 25th film in all of Bond film history. In other words, don’t mess this one up!

Back to the MONEY: A few days ago, The Daily Mail reported that Craig rejected an offer to appear in two more James Bond films and is done with the role. The report, citing unnamed sources, said Craig turned down an offer of £68 million (a little less than $100 million in U.S. dollars) for two more films. The report also stated that Craig was only paid £38 million (about $55 million) for the first four films combined.

Now the BBC is reporting that he didn’t turn down the role and he is just negotiating his pay further. Citing “authoritative Bond sources,” the news outlet confirmed that Daniel Craig did NOT make the decision to NOT return as Bond and that “no decision is likely to be made for a while.”

Ya know what? At this point JUST CAN HIM and find a NEW BOND! Let him slash his wrists (HARSH, I know). There are plenty of other eligible actors out there that would DIE to play James Bond, especially in the 25th film. Perhaps Tom Hiddleston or even Idris Elba? Sceptre was lackluster and boring. How can we expect an actor who doesn’t even want to be in the film in the first place to give us a good performance if his heart isn’t even in it! GET OVER YOURSELF, DANIEL!
