Lionel Wigram, the man responsible for turning Sherlock Holmes into a bare knuckle brawler, has a new project he'd like to bring to the screen.

RASL, a black and white comic written and illustrated by Bone creator Jeff Smith, has caught the author's attention. Concept is based around an ex-military scientist-turned-art thief who jumps to parallel universes to steal treasured pieces of art. While doing so, he's discovered by his former employer. Before long he finds himself trying to protect the world's most dangerous secret.

"We'll team with a writer and figure out how to adapt it to the screen and hopefully it will become a big movie franchise for Warner Bros.," says Lionel Wigram. Sounds good to me. I'm going to run out and buy this book so I can talk down to people when the movie comes out. (Deadline)
