Colin Hanks Gets His Big Break In ‘My Mother’s Curse’

Colin Hanks deserves some good luck in this business. And it looks like he’s finally gotten some: He’s landed a part in My Mother’s Curse, starring Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand. Here’s a plot synopsis, which is unfortunately devoid of mummies. Think about it – “curse,” “mother” “mummy.” They could have done something with that:
 

“Hanks will play the husband to the already cast Yvonne Strahovski, Rogen’ high school sweetheart in the pic to whom he once proposed to. Hanks and Strahovski let Rogen and Streisand crash in their house after the son and mother get caught in a blizzard.”

It’s Friday afternoon and I’m tired, so my eyes keeping crossing when I try to read that plot synopsis. I’m sure it’ll be just the kind of charming and likeable part to make Colin Hanks a household name. I’m pulling for you, Colin Hanks. (The Hollywood Reporter)
