Last month, it was announced that The Wolf of Wall Street duo Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio were going to make The Ballad of Richard Jewell, a film about the man accused of the 1996 Olympic pipe bombing.

Well, that's still a go, and now they have a writer to adapt the Vanity Fair article upon which the film will be based. They may have met fellow Oscar nominee Billy Ray at a Vanity Fair after party which would have served as ground zero for all these different aspects of the film intersecting. Who knows.

Anyway, Mr. Ray will be writing the script, and I'm guessing that this is intended to be some serious Oscar bait. I mean, three Oscar nominees involved (just so far), a Vanity Fair article, and a true story.

What else would they need? Meryl Streep?
