Shawn Levy is going to get dizzy if he doesn’t slow down. He has a sitcom in development and another Hugh Jackman movie in the works. But you can’t really take a breather when James Cameron comes calling, so Levy has opted to direct the Fantastic Voyage remake rather than die in submarine “accident.”
The director is best known for the Night At The Museum films and shitty comedies centered around Steve Martin. With Real Steel and the Museum pedigree, he should be able to handle the heavy special effects work Fantastic Voyage requires. The movie follows a group of scientists who miniaturize themselves in order to travel inside the body of a colleague and remove a dangerous blood clot.
My only fear with Levy at the helm is that he won’t be able to resist putting Coolio on the soundtrack. He’s not really known for his restraint. (Deadline)
