Brie Larson To Bring Her Brand Of Sexy High School Justice To ’21 Jump Street’

Friday, March 4 by

21 Jump Street has finally cast a female star, alleviating concerns that the film would simply be Ice Cube, Channing Tatum, and Jonah Hill clumsily sliding over the hoods of cars and giving each other nine-step celebratory handshakes. Brie Larson has been cast as Molly, the female lead, who will presumably join the fellas in going undercover at high school students in order to arrest bookies, hackers, and the like. Larson plays the daughter of Toni Collette‘s Tara in “The United States of Tara,” and has also appeared in Greenburg and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. 21 Jump Street is directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who shared credit for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Here’s hoping that meat falling from space is a continuing theme in Jump Street and all their future projects. (Deadline)
