Brett Ratner Determined To Get On A ‘Hercules’ Set

Good news for everyone who falls in the overlap between “fans on Greek mythology” and “fans of Brett Ratner“: The Rat is doing a Hercules movie. More specifically, he’s in talks to direct Hercules: The Thracian Wars, based on the comic by Steve Moore, and a different movie from the one Ratner was previously attached to. The script is reportedly from the same guy who wrote Paradise Lost (the script, not the book) for Alex Proyas, Ryan Condal.

Ratner’s never really done this kind of sword-and-sandals action movie before, but I suppose a guy has to learn sometime. The bad news is that judging from his output in previous franchises like X-Men: The Last Stand and Red Dragon, he might kill the Hercules myth forever. All that ancient pottery, down the drain!
