Ben Affleck, who has established a second, contemporary career as a director following a "cooling off" period in his acting career that lay around Reindeer Games, Paycheck, and Sum of All Fears, will be dropping his commitments behind the camera to play the Dark Knight in 2015's Superman film.

He's no longer attached to direct an adaptation of the French film Tell No One, and other sources are reporting that his other projects of interest, while not outright abandoned, will be delayed until he's able to get that pelvic "v" thing going on that you get from tons of leglifts in the Roman chair.

So it will be about seven hundred skinless chicken breasts and three trainers named Gunnar until Affleck puts back on his director hat. Because Batman comes first. Every artist knows that.
