The world apparently hasn't moved on from Archie Comics as Warner Bros is now reportedly working on a feature film adaptation. Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore will helm with scripting duties falling on Carrie remake writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who previously wrote the comics Afterlife with Archie and Archie Meets Glee. One of those projects featured zombies and the other featured moaning hell-beasts.

However, this adaptation will not feature the supernatural or Broadway versions of Britney Spears songs. Variety reports that this film we see Archie in a "teenage midlife crisis." So, probably no chance of seeing a creepy, middle-aged Jughead spitting hot fire.
