Director Anton Corbijn, in addition to having a tough-to-spell last name, got a lot of critical acclaim for his arty 2010 thriller The American starring George Clooney. Now he appears to be taking on an even more prestigious project, A Most Wanted Man, based on the 2008 novel by John le Carré. The book is about "Chechian Muslim Issa who illegally immigrates to Hamburg, where he gets caught up in the international war on terror."

Anyway, no word on casting or anything yet, since this is still in the early stages. As big fan of The American and a bigger fan of Corbijn's earlier Ian Curtis biopic Control, I'm excited about this news. Can you handle my excitement? Can you?? (The Hollywood Reporter)
