Andy Samberg Is Now In Charge Of ‘Shark Week’

Wednesday, April 20 by

Not content with playing Adam Sandler’s son in an Adam Sandler movie (and who would be, honestly?) Andy Samberg has signed on as Chief Shark Officer for the Discovery Channel in their upcoming “Shark Week.”

Don’t worry. It’s not as dangerous as it sounds. Samberg will hosting a special, doing some bumpers, and possibly going into the drink himself. Samberg sounds quite excited about the idea, acknowledging the news by saying, “I’m overjoyed about being appointed CSO. Everyone loves Shark Week. It’s the Bill Cosby of week-long television blocks dedicated to sea animals.”

He then took four suitcases of money, two under each arm, and walked purposefully out of the room.

“Shark Week” is an annual week-long marathon of shark-themed programming on the Discovery Channel, having achieved a cult following in recent years, perhaps due to the advent of medicinal marijuana laws in several states, including, but not limited to, California and Colorado. It will premiere in late summer. (The Wrap)
