Al Pacino is known mostly as the kindly old man in movies like You Don’t Know Jack and Righteous Kill. So it may come as a surprise that he’s been cast in Gotti: Three Generations as, of all things, a professional criminal! More specifically, he’ll be playing Neil Dellacroce, an underboss for the Gambino crime family.
He’s joining John Travolta, Joe Pesci, and if her luck holds out, Lindsay Lohan, with Barry Levinson directing. If you’re having trouble visualizing Pacino playing a gangster, you’ll have to wait until late 2012 to see it happen. Me, I’ll just be watching S1m0ne again. He’s so funny in that.
