Aaron Sorkin Really Loves Writing About TV Control Rooms

Friday, January 21 by

Josh Schwartz is to teen drama as Aaron Sorkin is to television control rooms. The Social Network writer is developing a new show for HBO, which is good news for Steadicam Ops and fans of the F-bomb.

With “Sports Night” and “Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip” under his belt, it should come as no surprise that the setting of the new show will be behind the scenes of a cable news show. It’s about time someone made CNN fun to watch.

I’m excited to see what he does with the inevitable Bill O’Reilly character. Though it makes me sad that Phil Hartman isn’t around to play him. So sad, in fact, that I’m going to dump out this 40 oz. that I was planning to have for lunch. (BBC)
