The 7 Most Memorable Movie Bikinis
It’s hard not to get excited about the thought of some of the most beautiful and talented women in the world donning their bikinis and sunning themselves by the side of the pool or heading into the water for a swim. When Hollywood decides that their movies are going to feature their top actresses in bikinis, that’s good news for movie goers. Here’s seven of most memorable bikinis in Hollywood history and the actresses who filled them.
"Into the Blue" (2005)
When Jessica Alba put on her light blue bikini in an otherwise forgettable movie called “Into The Blue,” it got plenty of attention from film goers. Why wouldn’t it? Alba is one of the most spectacular looking women in the history of Hollywood and she has a particularly lithe and desirable body. She plays a diver in the movie looking for treasure, but when she comes across hidden cocaine, the bad guys come after her partner. Not much to the movie, but Alba is a dream in blue.
"Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (1982)
This film classic features the incredibly stunning Phoebe Cates when she was at her absolute best. Cates played high school sweetheart Linda Barrett, who is sunning herself at her friend Stacy Hamilton’s (Jennifer Jason Leigh) pool. Cates has a sensational face framed by dark hair, but it is her not-to-be-believed body that makes her bikini showing so memorable. You may be able to equal her appearance, but it would seem impossible to top it.
"Summer Catch" (2001)
This was another relatively forgettable movie about a young baseball player named Ryan Dunne (Freddie Prinze Jr.) who falls for stunning Tenley Parrish (Jessica Biel) while playing baseball on Cape Cod. While you have to ask yourself why anybody would believe that a stunner like Biel would fall for Prinze (the producers want you to suspend disbelief), she looks exotic and hypnotic in her spectacular bikini.
"Dr. No" (1962)
All James Bond movies feature spectacular looking women, but this one featured Ursula Andress in a shocking white bikini. She played a character called Honey Ryder, who decides to go swimming. When Bond (Sean Connery) spies her from behind a tree, he can’t believe the stunning beauty he is watching. The era made it even more shocking, because female actresses rarely wore bikinis when they were practicing their trade in front of the cameras.
"One Million Years B.C." (1966)
Raquel Welch was one of the top sex symbols during the 1960s and 1970s. When she appeared in a prehistoric bikini as Loana in “One Million Years B.C.,” it rocked a generation. Welch still looks great nearly 50 years later, but back then she was perhaps the most spectacular bombshell in Hollywood. Her incredible rack may have been approached in its appeal and sexiness, but she still ranks at the top of the charts.
"Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle" (2003)
You have your choice of Cameron Diaz or Demi Moore in this movie for stunning beauty in a bikini. In 9-of-10 movies you might take Moore, but in this movie she’s a little overmuscled. For that reason we will take the appealing Diaz, who played Natalie Cook. Diaz is a super sexy dynamo when she struts in her bikini and she gives you the impression that she loves sex, which is a good thing to find in a partner.
"Tomb Raider" (2001)
Angelina Jolie plays Lara Croft in this action movie, and she is the picture of confidence and sexiness when she moves around with her near-perfect body in a black bikini. Croft has beautiful ab muscles, well-defined arms and a stunning chest. There’s not a degree of self-consciousness about her, either. When she goes around in a bikini, she wears it as a matter of course. There’s no modesty to her game and that type of honesty makes here even sexier.
