Sag Awards 2010 Winners

The SAG Awards 2010 winners presented awards to the best actors from the 2009 year. The 2010 SAG Award ceremony took place in January 2010 and presented awards to the best in television and movies, as presented by the Screen Actors Guild and voted on by their peers.

  1. Julianna Margulies – Julianna Margulies stars in the drama "The Good Wife" as Alicia, the wife of a disgraced politician who is facing criminal charges. She was one of the SAG Award 2010 winners for her portrayal of the woman who returns to work as an attorney and tries to get her life back on track.
  2. Michael C. HallMichael C. Hall won his 2010 SAG award for his portrayal of serial killer Dexter Morgan in the Showtime series “Dexter.&rdquo Dexter is a police blood lab specialist who has inner demons demanding that he kills. To combat the urges, he only kills dangerous criminals who the police can’t lock up.
  3. Alec BaldwinAlec Baldwin won a SAG Award in 2010 for his comedy portrayal of a television executive in the series “30 Rock.” The show is loosely based on “Saturday Night Live” styled sketch comedy shows and Baldwin plays the arrogant boss running the entire network.
  4. Jeff BridgesJeff Bridges won a 2010 SAG Award for his portrayal of fading country music star Bad Blake and the journalist he meets who wants to find the man behind the drinking, broken down musician. It was Bridges first SAG award, although he has been nominated three other times.
  5. Tina FeyTina Fey joins her co-star Alec Baldwin to win a 2010 SAG award for her performance on “30 Rock.” Fey, a former “Saturday Night Live” cast member is also one of the main writers of the series and also stars on the show as the head writer of the fictional sketch comedy series.
  6. Sandra BullockSandra Bullock won a 2010 SAG Award for her performance in the sport’s drama “The Blind Side.” Bullock stars in the movie as a housewife who meets and takes in a young, uneducated black teen and helps him turn his life around, leading to an NFL football career.
  7. Mo’Nique – Mo’Nique shocked audiences with her portrayal of an abusive, violent mother in the drama “Precious.” The comedian was brutal in her performance as she both mentally and physically abuses her overweight daughter, almost driving her own child to death.
  8. Christoph WaltzChristoph Waltz won a 2010 SAG Award for his supporting role in the Quentin Tarantino film, “Inglourious Basterds.” Waltz plays a German Nazi officer who is known as the best Jew hunter in the Third Reich. Waltz has since appeared in the superhero movie “The Green Hornet.”
  9. “Inglourious Basterds” – Quentin Tarantino’s cast won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast for their roles in “Inglourious Basterds.” Christoph Waltz, Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Julie Dreyfus, Diane Kruger and Mike Myers were among the actors honored.
