"Back To The Future" is filled with memorable quotes, mostly because many quotes from this movie are just too stupid to forget. Though the <a href=comedy was made in 1985, many folks today still have oodles of fun repeating stupid lines from Bif, Doc Brown and the other characters. These same people will probably be uttering the words "I am your density" on their death beds. That's just a mysterious and quite eerie side effect of watching this flick. If you don't have this affliction, you may need to brush up on your "Back To The Future" vocabulary with the following quotes.

"McFly! I thought I told you never to come in here. Why don't you make like a tree and get outta here." This is, without a doubt, one of the most widely quoted "Back to the Future" quotes. Bif Tannen's (Thomas F. Wilson) introduction to "Back to the Future" opens with this quote to George McFly (Crispin Glover), the nerdy fellow who plays Marty's (Michael J. Fox) father. George and Bif have the same hangout spot, and this soda shop just ain't big enough for the two of them. Biff is a bully in their 1955 high school days, but then ends up waxing George's cars later in life.

"Ronald Reagan? The Actor? Then who's vice president? Jerry Lewis? I suppose Jane Wyman is the first lady!" Marty McFly travels back in time from 1985 to 1955 with a time machine that was made by Doctor Emmett Brown (Christopher Loyd), also known as "Doc". The 1955 version of Doc Brown needs some convincing that Marty is from the future. This quote is one of Doc's first retorts before Marty finally convinces him.

"The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?" When Doc Brown rolls out his new invention in front of Marty for the first time, Marty is quite amazed that it was made out of a flashy car. Doc Brown then gets shot up by a group of Lybians who have a beef with the mad scientist just before Marty hightails it to 1955. The Lybian terrorist group claimed responsibility for a plutonium theft, and Doc unfortunately got caught up in that scenario.

"Last night, Darth Vader came from the planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn't take Lorraine out that he'd melt my brain." Marty's job in 1955 is to be a matchmaker for his parents who are in high school at the time. He appears to his dad-to-be in the middle of the night in a spooky costume and advanced sound technology to lay down the law. Later, George asks Lorraine (Lea Thompson) to the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance while proclaiming to be her "density…I mean…your destiny." Luckily, Lorraine gives birth to their matchmaker a few years later (phew!).

"Marty, don't be such a square. Anybody who's anybody drinks." Marty gets hit on by his own mom in 1955. Marty tries to convince her to get it on with George, but she's intent on riding his willy like a buckin' bronco instead. Lorraine's offering of a schwill of booze seems to be even more unsettling.

"Beat it, spook. This don't concern you." Biff throws Marty McFly into the trunk of a car during the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance. Little does he know that the car belongs to Marvin Berry and the Starlighters. Biff utters this classic quote after one of the Starlighters questions his tampering of their car. Marvin follows with "who you callin' a spook, Peckerwood?" This dialogue arguably provides a few of the best "Back To The Future" quotes in one brief scene.
