Golden Globe Winners 2010

Who were the Golden Globes winners in 2010?  We waited all year long to see how would receive the honor of being nominated for a particular category and who gets the thrill of coming out on top. This year’s Golden Globe awards were filled with excitement and tension, and everyone waited on the edge of their seats to see who would take home the trophies. They kicked off the event by awarding Robert De Niro with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

  1. Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures took home the trophy for Best Motion Picture (Drama) for their film “The Social Network.”  “The Social Network” racked up several awards, including Best Director for David Fincher and Best Screenplay for Aaron Sorkin. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross was awarded Best Original Score for “The Social Network.”
  2. Natalie Portman took home Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) for “Black Swan.” Paul Giamatti took home the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) for “Barney’s Vision.” Colin Firth took home Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) for “The King’s Speech.”
  3. “The Kids Are All Right” took home a couple of awards, including Best Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) and Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) for Annette Bening’s performance.
  4. Melissa Leo and Christian Bale took home Best Actress and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for their film “The Fighter.” “Toy Story 3” won Best Animated Feature Film and “In a Better World” (Denmark) won Best Foreign Language Film. “You Haven’t Seen The Last of Me” from “Burlesque” took home the Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
  5. Glee” on Fox swept up a lot of the television awards, including Best television Series (Comedy or Musical), Jane Lynch for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and Chris Colfer for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
  6. “Boardwalk Empire” on HBO got Best Television Series (Drama) and Katey Sagal got Best Actress in a Television Series Drama for “Sons of Anarchy.” Best Actor in a Television Series (Drama) went to Steve Buscemi for “Boardwalk Empire.”
  7. Laura Linney took home Best Actress in a Television Series (Comedy or Musical) for “The Big C” on Showtime and Jim Parsons took the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series (Comedy or Musical) for “The Big Bang Theory” on CBS.
  8. “Carlos” by Sundance C took home Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and Claire Danes took home Best Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her performance in “Temple Grandin.” Best Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television went to Al Pacino in “You Don’t Know Jack” for HBO.
