All Quiet: Ironically, this made Lew Ayres a star. He was a conscientious objector who served in the Medical Corps during WWII.2. Casablanca: An all time great! One of the best!3. Waterfront: "I coulda been a contender!"4. Godfather: I haven't seen this or its sequel, because I refuse to see movies that glorify the Mafia. Same with the Sopranos. 6. Platoon: Charlie Sheen - "a young soldier’s descent into chaos". History repeats itself? 10. Locker: I remember what an emotional moment this was on the Oscars. Bigelow and Cameron are divorced. I’d like to make some comments about some of these movies.
