While porn helps in providing pleasure to numerous people out there, there are many aspects to the industry that are not so pleasurable at all. Ranging from harsh sadomasochistic practices to controlling the actors entirely, the world inside the porn industry can sometimes be very, very dark. Here are five documentaries that explore the dark side of the porn industry.

1. "After Porn Ends"

Examining the personal lives and careers of the biggest stars of the porn industry, including Asia Carrera and Mary Carey, the film gives out the message that a career in porn is only a small stint in fame, sex and money. However, once the careers of the stars are over, it’s hard for them to find other forms of employment, while the biggest challenge, according to the documentary, is for the stars to leave behind the heavy baggage of their past.

2. "The Dark Side of Porn"
