10 Good Movies Of 2007

2007 was a good year for movies and here is a list of 10 good movies of 2007. Over 300 movies where made in 2007 which incorporate a bit of action, adventure, fantasy, thrillers, animation and installments from much loved film series. If you love a good movie and haven’t seen any or some on this list, be sure to check them out.

  1. “The Bourne Ultimatum” Directed be Paul Greengrass and starring Matt Damon as Jason Bourne this is the third installment in the “Bourne” film series. In this gripping movie based in Europe we see Jason Bourne trying to discover his true identity after he is brought out of hiding due to the unveiling of Operation Blackbriar which birthed Bourne in the beginning.
  2. “Pirates of The Caribbean: At the World’s End” This is the third in the adventure/fantasy series “Pirates of the Caribbean” produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner and Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann, the plot see’s Will and Elizabeth rescuing Jack with the help of the Black Pearl crew from Davy Jone’s Locker.
  3. “Juno” In this 2007 comedy/drama a 16 year old Juno played by Ellen Page is quirky, independent minded, offbeat teenager impregnated by her best friend Bleeker played by Michael Cera. Dealing with the pressures of adult life she decides to give the child up for adoption and finds a loving couple through the local ads.
  4. “Ratatouille” Remy stars in this comedic animated 2007 movie as young rat dreaming to become a chef in Paris and is given the opportunity when he meets a garbage boy. Awarded Best Animated Feature at Academy Awards, “Ratatouille” is a good movie for everyone to enjoy.
  5. “Transformers” Directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg this was the first in the “Transformers” film series. There is a war between two races of robots Autobots the good robots and Decepticons the bad robots and a young boy Sam Witwicky played by Shia LaBeouf teams up with Autobots to help fight this war and protect the world.
  6. “Live Free or Die Hard” The fourth in the “Die Hard” film series see’s Bruce Willis as John McClane doing what he does best and fighting terrorism and this time in a cyber-attack to threaten the United States infrastructure and Government on Independence Day.
  7. “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” This highly anticipated 2007 movie was the fifth movie in the “Harry Potter” film series based on the novels by J.K Rowling. The story follows the young wizard Harry Potter played by Daniel Radcliffe in his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A new teacher is appointed and the adventure begins for Harry Potter and friends fighting against the evil Lord Voldemort and the new defense against the Darks Arts teacher.
  8. “American Gangster” This 2007 movie starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe is based on the true story of the 70’s drug kingpin Frank Lucas who becomes the number one heroin “Blue Magic” importer in Harlem after the death of his mentor Bumpy Johnson. Smuggling the drugs into the United States from South East Asia he quickly builds up his empire, while Richie Roberts of the NYPD narcotics played by Crowe successfully attempts to bring Lucas down.
  9. “Michael Clayton” This 207 thriller was written and directed by Tony Gilroy and starred George Clooney portraying ‘Michael Clayton’ a corporate lawyer. Covering the scopes of gambling, attempted murder, corruption, mental instability, this movie is an extremely engrossing movie.
  10. “I Am Legend” Not quite an “Independence Day,” however for what it was, it was a really good one-man show movie. Starring Will Smith as Robert Neville a scientist who becomes the last surviving human in New York City even the world after a virus attacks the city.
