  1. “Knocked Up.” Fun loving party animal, Ben Stone, meets a gorgeous woman while out clubbing one night with his friends. The two end up having a one night stand. The last thing Ben expected from the night was for her to show up eight weeks later to tell him that she’s pregnant and he’s the father.
  2. “Across the universe.” This fictional love story set in the 1960s is another good movie from 2007. It’s about the rough years of anti-war protest, the struggle for freedom of speech and civil rights, mind exploration and rock n’ roll. The story moves to many different places across the U.S. as well as Vietnam and Liverpool. Action and animation is paired with songs by The Beatles.
  3. “Sweeney Todd.” This 2007 movie is based off the hit Broadway musical. It tells the story of Benjamin Barker, a.k.a. Sweeney Todd, who returns to London after being deported, only to find out to find out about his family’s terrible fate at the hands of Judge Turpin. Benjamin joins Mrs. Nellie Lovett, the baker from downstairs from his barbershop and seeks revenge.
  4. “The Simpsons Movie.” In this 2007 film, the city of Springfield demands a clean up of the very polluted Lake Springfield. The city also bans waste dumps there. However, Homer Simpsons did not receive the message. Homer dumps a silo full of pig feces in the lake, which inadvertently dooms all of Springfield.
  5. “Transformers.” Sam Witwicky buys his first car. Though, he gets more than he bargained for. Sam becomes apart of an ancient struggle between two extraterrestrial clans, the Autobots and Decepticons. He must do all he can to stop the evil Decepticons and help the Autobots prevail.
  6. “I Am Legend.” This movie is based in the year 2012 in the ruins of New York city. After a plague wipes out most of man kind and turns the rest into monsters, the sole survivor in the city and military scientist, Robert Neville, strives to find a cure and save humanity.
  7. “Talk to Me.” This is the true life story of Ralph Waldo “Petey” Greene Jr. He is an ex-con who became a popular talk show host and community activist in the 1960s. With Petey’s “tell it like it is” way of expressing himself, he talks his way into an on-air radio gig. Petey becomes an iconic radio personality, surpassing even the established popularity many.“
  8. "Superbad.” Two co-dependen high school seniors, Seth and Even are just looking to party. A girl whom Seth has a crush on, asks him to bring booze to her party that she is having later that night. The two boys seek the help of their friend, Fogell (McLovin), who has a fake ID. Unfortunately, things do not go as planned and the three end up having one crazy night.
  9. “Into the Wild.” Promptly after graduating from college, top student and athlete Christopher McCandless abandons all of his possessions and donates his life savings to charity. He hitchhikes to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Christopher encounters several characters that help him along the way and shape his life.
  10. Juno.” “Juno” is another good movie from 2007 that features the craziness that comes along with being pregnant. Sixteen year old Juno, an unusual girl, is faced with an unplanned pregnancy after one event in a chair with her best friend, Bleeker. Juno makes an unusual decision regarding their unborn child. This movie is delightfully quirky and full of surprises.
