Curious about what were the 10 best soundtracks of 2008? You've come to the right place; whether you enjoyed music of the 80's, 90's or some of the hottest current rap or dance tracks, it seemed 2008 had the soundtrack just for you. Featuring classic rock from CCR and the Rolling Stones, as well as more modern indie rock and electro artists, check out why we think these were the 10 best soundtracks of 2008.

  1. "Slumdog Millionaire" This is the movie that spawned the amazing A.R. Rahman dance hit "Jai Ho," which is reason enough to land this music collection a place in the 10 best soundtracks of 2008.  Add in some M.I.A. and some great Bollywood tracks, and this soundtrack is the stuff legends are made of.
  2. "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" If you're an indie rock fan, you're going to love this 2008 movie soundtrack. Featuring artists like Modest Mouse, Vampire Weekend and Band of Horses, most indie music fans will agree that this is one of the best soundtracks of 2008, hands down.
  3. "House Bunny" Alright, so this isn't what you'd call an intellectual film (Playboy bunny goes back to college comedy) but what it did have was one of the best soundtracks of 2008. With music from the Pussycat Dolls, Avril Lavigne, Rihanna and All-American Rejects, it's easy to forgive the lack of substance and depth.
  4. "The Wackness" For those who enjoy kicking it old school, "The Wackness" brings some big names from early '90s rap to the table. If you enjoy Notorious B.I.G., A Tribe Called Quest, R. Kelly or Will Smith (back when he was Fresh Prince), you're sure to think "The Wackness" is the best soundtrack of 2008.
  5. "You Don't Mess With the Zohan" If the '80s are more your thing, then check out the soundtrack for "You Don't Mess With the Zohan."  Adam Ant, Eek-a-Mouse, Rockwell and Ace of Base are just a few of the big names that were pulled together to create this great soundtrack of 2008.
  6. "What Happens in Vegas" Let's face it; any soundtrack that features Hot Chocolate's "You Sexy Thing" is going to feel the love. "What Happens in Vegas" is not only a great movie, but it has one of the best soundtracks of 2008. You just can't top an album that has Hot Chocolate, Freddie Mercury and the Shout Out Louds.
  7. "Step Brothers" It's hard to go wrong on a soundtrack that has the likes of Hall & Oates, Billy Joel, Vanilla Ice, the Kinks and Will Ferrell singing.  Filled with great music, this is one of the best soundtracks of 2008 for those who enjoy comedy films.
  8. "Tropic Thunder" This is one of the best soundtracks of 2008 for those who enjoy a mix of music. Featuring classic  bands like Quiet Riot, CCR, Rolling Stones and even Steppenwolf, this soundtrack also has more modern artists like Flo Rida and Ludacris to pump it up.
  9. "Babylon A.D." If classical music and instrumentals are more your speed, then you may agree with those who say that "Babylon A.D." is one of the best soundtracks of 2008. Intense and moving, this soundtrack is filled with beautiful songs that aim right for the heart strings.
  10. "Wanted" This is one of the best soundtracks of 2008 for those who enjoy some great rocking tunes and love Danny Elfman's music. As well as the Elfman, himself, this rocking soundtrack also features Nine Inch Nails and the amazing Andrea Bocelli.
