“Predator.” In this action movie, Dutch’s team of commandos are on a mission to find hostages in a jungle. The team finds a terrorist’s camp and kills every last man inhabiting it. But, Dutch’s team soon faces another type of evil -- an extra-terrestrial warrior that starts killing the team’s men one by one.
“Bloodsport.” An American soldier at large in Hong Kong, Frank Dux, enters himself in the Kumite, an illegal underground martial-arts competition. This competition is known to cause serious injury and even death to those who enter it. Frank decides to enter the competition despite being told by his superiors in the army that he cannot because they need him. Two army officers are sent to retrieve Frank but he eludes them. Now Frank must face Chong Li, the defending champion. This movie is packed with action.
“Enter the Dragon.” This action film features a martial artist and member of the Shaolin Temple, Lee, who is asked to infiltrate a drug operation. Lee must use his invitation to a tournament as a cover. Not only does he do it because he is asked to, Lee also has personal reasons for going.
“Commando.” Colonel John Matrix has retired and is living with his daughter. But Matrix learns from his former commanding officer that members of his unit have been killed and someone from his past is out to get him. His daughter gets kidnapped by an exiled Latin American dictator, Arius. Arius wants Matrix to assassinate the president of Arius’ country. If Matrix succeeds, he will return his daughter. If he fails, Arius will kill her.
“Die Hard.” New York cop John McClane flies to Lost Angeles on Christmas eve to spend the holidays with his loved ones. McClane arrives at the Nakatomi corporation building for his wife’s office party and discovers it has bee taken over by terrorists. The terrorists are holding everyone hostage -- including McClane’s wife. Although the FBI is called in to take care of the situation, McClane has other plans for the terrorists. If you love action, this movie is perfect for you.
“Mortal Combat.” This action film tells the story of an ancient tournament where the best warriors from the Out-World compete against Earth‘s best warriors. The goal: ten wins to be able to legally invade the losing realm. The Out-World has won nine of the previous tournaments, so only one victory to go before it can take over Earth. Earth’s warriors must fight to prevent this from happening.
“Sudden Death.” Darren McCord takes his children to a Pittsburgh Penguins National Hokey League play-off game. McCord becomes the only man aware that the arena has been taken over by terrorists who are holding the Vice President hostage. McCord’s daughter gets kidnapped by the terrorists. He finds out the arena will be blown up once the game is over. McCord must not only stop the terrorists, but postpone the game and send it into overtime.
“Robocop.” In the future, Detroit is crime ridden and run by a huge company that has developed a large crim fighting robot. Unfortunately, the robot develops a dangerous glitch. A cop, Alex Murphy, is killed and the company reconstructs his body within a steel shell, named Robocop. Robocop is successful against criminals but becomes the target of a super villain, Boddicker.
“The Road Warrior.” In the post-apocalyptic Australian wasteland, Max Rockatansky, searches for sources of fuel. He stumbles upon a gasoline refinery home to survivors who are being terrorized by a band of motorcyclists who bid to loot all the gas for themselves. Rockatansky agrees to help the survivors escape the band of bandits.
“Speed.” In this action movie, two cops must stop a terrorist’s plan to bomb a Los Angeles city bus. The situation is this: once armed, the bus must stay above 50 mph to keep from exploding and if any passengers are unloaded, the bomber will detonate the bus.
