  1. "I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay" (2006). Your date will love this quirky love story about a woman who is in a mental hospital because she believes she is a robot and refuses to eat. She befriends another resident, a man who thinks he can steal people's souls, whose goal is to try to get the woman to eat. Eventually, the unlikely pair fall in love in this unconventional Korean film. Actor Park Il-sun and actress Cha Young-goon were both nominated for Asian Film Awards for their performances.
  2. "Il Mare" (2000). When a man moves into a new apartment, he finds a love letter in his mailbox dated two years later meant for the previous resident. He begins a correspondence with the woman who wrote the letter, and the two arrange to meet. Despite the fact that they are somehow separated in time by two years, the couple begins a passionate romance in this strange Korean love story directed by Hyun Seung-lee.The romantic storyline is sure to impress your date.
  3. "100 Days with Mr. Arrogant" (2004). In this Korean comedic romance, written and directed by Dong Yeob-Shin, a woman becomes infuriated when her boyfriend breaks up with her after 100 days, an important milestone. When she runs into him two years later, he convinces her to give him another chance for 100 more days, and hilarious antics ensue that eventually lead to a romantic conclusion. Watch this comedy with a date with a sense of humor.
  4. "Ardor" (2002). This movie is about a young Korean housewife, played by Yunjin Kim, who discovers that her husband has been unfaithful. To get revenge, she begins her own affair, and finds herself falling in love with the new man, a handsome doctor. She leaves her old life behind and embraces a happiness that she never experienced before in this love story. Kim was nominated for a Golden Dragon Best Actress Award for her performance in this great date movie.
  5. "A Good Rain Knows" (2009). This Korean love story, written and directed by Jin-Ho Hur, centers around a traveling architect who meets an old classmate. As the two reconnect, they realize their feelings for one another extend beyond friendship. Unfortunately, their romance is destined to end in tragedy in this romantic date movie.
