Sci Fi Movies 2007
If you're looking for a good list of the sci fi movies 2007, then these five movies released in the year of question should fulfill your search. Granted, the year 2007 had more garbage than gems, but it did have a couple of diamonds in the rough such as "Sunshine" and "The Mist." Other than that, the year of 2007 was somewhat of a disappointment to the science fiction genre with many monstrosities such as "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem" and "Resident Evil: Extinction."
"Sunshine." Set in the mid 21st century, Danny Boyle's "Sunshine" is an intriguing sci fi movie from 2007 that revolves around a crew assigned to deliver a nuclear bomb into the Sun in order to prevent it from exploding real soon. However, a monstrous and badly burned man from a former deceased crew is determined to keep them at bay from their goal.
"The Mist." Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, "The Mist" is one the best sci fi movies of 2007 and tells the story of a group of people trapped in a supermarket while the outside world has entered an alternate reality that is populated with dangerous creatures.
"Resident Evil: Extinction." In this third entry of the "Resident Evil" franchise, this is where everything begins to go downhill and right from the get-go too. After two thrilling movies, the creators of the series decide to revert to ripping off other movies with no shame whatsoever. This 2007 sci fi movie is surely a sorry one indeed.
"Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem." As if sci fi movies couldn't get any more worse in 2007, along comes the sequel to the dreaded "Alien vs. Predator." This second movie is bogged down with even more problems than the first one, including a cinematography that is extremely dark, so dark that not even shining your flashlight on the screen will work.
"The Invasion." This 2007 sci fi movie is Hollywood's latest edition of the classic science fiction tale that is "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." Yes, we have all seen one of the many versions at one time or another, but this is perhaps the weakest one yet and it stars two very find actors -- Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig.
