1. “The X Files” (1998). This movie is based on the popular TV series. In the movie a man and woman must try to expose the government conspiracy of the alien colonization of earth. This is a great scary alien movie to watch on a date because it’s not overly scary. The movie stars David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and John Neville.
2. “The Faculty” (1998). In this scary alien movie a group of students suspect that their teachers are aliens. This movie is a good date choice because many of the sub-plots within the movie. It has the feel of a teen movie so while it’s still about scary aliens, it’s not too over the top for a date. The movie stars Jordana Brewster, Clea Du Vall and Laura Harris.
3. “Little Shop of Horrors” (1986). Woman love musicals and that makes this scary alien movie perfect to watch on a date. The story is about a nerdy florist who finds a man-eating alien plant that helps his love life. Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene and Vincent Gardenia.
4. “The Thing” (1982). If your date likes scary alien movies then why not watch a classic science fiction movie. In the film a team of Antarctic scientists discover a shape-shifting alien that stars killing them off one by one. The movie stars Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley and Keith David.
5. “Signs” (2002). In this scary alien movie a family discovers that their crop circles are signs of an alien invasion. This is a great date movie because there is a strong romantic sub-plot and when the end comes together it pulls at your heart strings a little. 6. “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” (1977). This is another classic scary alien movie. The movie is about a line worker who feels drawn to an isolated area after his encounter with a UFO. 7. “The Day the Earth Stood Still” (2008). This is a re-make of the 1951 movie. In the movie a human-looking alien visits earth but then is followed by his giant robot counterpart. The modern version also stars Jennifer Connelly and Kathy Bates.
8. “Solaris” (2002). This movie is also a remake. The modern version is a better choice because it has more a physiological kind of scary, with some very steamy scenes. Okay and it has George Clooney. Your date will thank you for this. In the movie a psychologist is sent to investigate the crew of a isolated research station.Also starring in the movie is Natascha McElhone and Ulrich Tukur.
9. “Fire in the Sky” (1993). A man gets abducted by aliens in the woods while working and his disappearance is treated like a murder. He later returns and is brother tries to help him come to terms with the ordeal. The movie is based on a true story and the sub-plot between the bothers makes this a good scary alien choice. The movie stars D.B. Sweeney, Robert Patrick and Craig Sheffer.
10. “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” (1988). What is scarier than alien clowns coming from outer space to terrorize a small town? While this movie is creepy, it is also a good date movie because it’s the kind of scary that is easily laughed at later. The movie stars Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder and John Allen Nelson.
