After the success of “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” in 2010, many of the young movie cast members will return for the sequel “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” this summer, 2013. The film follows the adventures of teen demigods training at Camp Half-Blood to sharpen their special skills, who During the break between the two films, the young stars have kept themselves busy with a variety of projects in eye-catching roles.

Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson. He began his career as a toddler in TV commercials, before gaining industry recognition with his role on the TV series “Jack & Bobby” and supporting roles in “Butterfly Effect” and “3:10 to Yuma.” “Percy Jackson” was his first lead role. Lerman followed Lightning Thief with a starring role as one of “The Three Musketeers” in the 2011 remake. In “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” (2012), Lerman plays a deeply introverted freshman befriended by two older oddballs, beautiful Sam (Emma Watson) and her stepbrother Patrick (Ezra Miller). The film already received nominations for Independent Spirit and People’s Choice awards. After the release of the next “Percy Jackson,” Lerman will play the Russell Crowe’s son in “Noah” about the biblical ark builder.

Brandon T. Jackson as Grover. Brandon’s began performing as a stand-up comic and radio DJ as a teenager in his hometown of Detroit. He scored his first major role in the box office hit “Tropic Thunder,” playing Alpa Chino opposite Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black.  Before playing Percy’s disabled best friend (and satyr) in “Percy Jackson,” he has appeared in the big budget “Fast & Furious” and “The Day the Earth Stood Still.” In 2013, he’ll appear as Aaron Foley opposite Eddie Murphy reprising his star-making role as Axel Foley in a TV movie based on “Beverly Hills Cop.”

Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth. Alexandra left school at 16 in order to pursue her career as an actress. She soon landed on the soap opera “All My Children” as Laurie Lewis. Guest roles on critically acclaimed series “The Sopranos,” “Damages” and “Law & Order” soon followed. After playing the beautiful and fierce Annabeth in “Percy Jackson,” Alexandra found recurring roles on White Collar” and “Parenthood.” In 2013, she’ll appear in “Texas Chainsaw 3D” before the “Sea of Monsters” opens.

Jake Abel as Luke. Abel began his Hollywood career appearing as a guest actor in TV series such as “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” “Cold Case” and “CSI: Miami.” After gaining recognition for his role in “Flash of Genius,” Abel began to land larger parts such as Adam Milligan in the popular “Supernatural” series. The first “Percy Jackson” film brought Jake nominations at the MTV Movie and Teen Choice Awards for Best Fight with Logan Lerman. In 2013, Jake will return as Percy’s antagonist, Luke Castellan, in “Sea of Monsters” as well as the much-anticipated “The Host,” based on the best-selling sci-fi book by Stephanie Meyer of “Twilight” fame.
