If you're all about foreign cinema, you need to check out these crazy Japanese movies. The following flicks will test your constitution as they push the cinematic envelope to an entirely new level. For all things audacious, be sure to check out this list of the best crazy Japanese movies.

  1. Audition. If you're looking for a slow movie that is by no means tame, be sure to check out this crazy Japanese movie. A widower holds auditions for a new lady in his life, but gets more than he bargained for when one of the ladies puts a new meaning to clingy. For some of the sickest torture sequences you'll ever see, be sure to try out this crazy Japanese movie.
  2. Battle Royale. This is one of the most controversial crazy Japanese movies. A junior-high class is randomly selected to compete in a dog-eat-dog competition where they must battle each other on a deserted island. If the violence wasn't bad enough, each kid has their own personal demons they must wrestle with in this crazy Japanese movie that is equal parts "Lord of the Flies" and "The Warriors."
  3. Ichi The Killer. This is one of the most well-known of crazy Japanese movies for being absolutely insane. This movie delves into the excess of human nature and shows people at their worst behaviors, covering the gamut from sadomasochism to sexual deviance. If you're into crazy Japanese movies, don't pass this one up!
  4. Robo Geisha. Easily the most light-hearted of the list, it's from the makers of such crazy Japanese movies as "The Machine Girl" and "Tokyo Gore Police." You can probably get the gist of the movie from its title, but imagine robot geishas and ninja fighting against one another. With that in mind, you have one of the campiest crazy Japanese movies of all time!

These are just some of the best crazy Japanese movies you can find. Considering the amount of crazy Japanese movies out there, you have to take the good with the bad when looking for your pick. However, we feel that these strike a delicate balance between being just plain creepy, to over-the-top and hilariously bad.
