  1. "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974) Written and directed by Tobe Hooper, this movie has become a classic among horror movies. It is loosely based on Ed Gein and tells the story of a group of teens that meet up with a family of cannibals.
  2. "Mad Max" (1979) This movie tells the story of a dystopian future and a cop's vengeance. It stars Mel Gibson and the movie spawned many sequels due to its success.
  3. "Blood Simple" (1984) Written by the Coen brothers, this is a crime movie about an investigator hired to kill a man's wife. It's a cult classic and stars John Getz and Frances McDormand.
  4. "The Usual Suspects" (1995) This movie was a surprise hit due to its shocking ending. It stars Kevin Spacey and Gabriel Byrne as part of a group of criminals with a huge mystery in their story.

  9. "Pulp Fiction" (1994) Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, this movie follows a few different storylines that eventually harmonize together. It stars John Travolta, Ving Rhames, Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson.
  10. "Memento" (2000) This movie was written by Jonathan and Christopher Nolan. It is about a man with short term memory loss that uses his body to post notes on via tattoos. It is unique because the movie goes backwards in time to the beginning.
