Best Vampire Movies

If you're trying to find some of the best vampire movies ever made, then you may come to like the following five films listed here. The vampire tales in these flicks are very well assorted, covering everything from the Marvel comics character that is Blade himself, a vampire-infested strip joint in Mexico, to even Count Dracula himself. So whether you're visiting Count Dracula's lair in Transylvania or paying a visit to Salem's Lot, you better come armed to the teeth for these blood-thirsty creatures.

  1. "Bram Stoker's Dracula." When it comes to vampire movies, it would be a sin to forget about "Bram Stoker's Dracula," which is quite possibly the best film adaptation of the fictional character ever made. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, the film sports an all-star cast from Keanu Reeves, Gary Oldman, to Anthony Hopkins to name a few.
  2. "Salem's Lot." Based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King, this televised mini-series adaptation of King's epic vampire tale is among one of the best vampire movies ever made. The plot is straight forward and simple — a writer moves into a new town and discovers that everyone is being killed and turned into vampires.
  3. "From Dusk Till Dawn." Written by Quentin Tarantino and helmed by Robert Rodriguez, this spicy vampire blockbuster follows two outlaws who kidnap a family and find themselves up to their necks in vampires when they stop a strip bar in Mexico. This is one vampire movie that is action packed to the hilt.
  4. "The Lost Boys." Not only is this the film that launched the teaming of the Two Coreys (Corey Haim and Corey Feldman), but it is perhaps the best vampire movie starring a teen cast ever made, period. "The Lost Boys" follows two brothers and their mother who just moved into a small California town that has a big missing persons problem. But when they learn of a group of vampires, it all begins to make sense.
  5. "Blade." Based on the Marvel comics character of the same name, "Blade" stars Wesley Snipes as the heroic half human and half vampire hybrid who protects the living from the evil vampires. Yet another vampire movie that turned into a blockbuster hit. Also starring Sanaa Lathan, Stephen Dorff, and Kris Kristofferson.
