The "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" movie cast list consists mostly of child actors. However, the movie sprinkles in some fantastic adult actors to balance things out. "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" takes viewers into the life and mind of Greg, an up-and-coming sixth-grader with no clue as to how to become popular. This is a big part of what makes this movie so fun to watch.

Zackary Gordon.

Playing the lead character, Greg, in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," Zackary Gordon is perfectly cast as the little leading man. One of the best young actors plays Greg with a humurous innocence that audiences of all ages can relate to.

Robert Capron.

As the goofy sidekick, Rowley, Robert Capron adds more and more humor to "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." His chubby body comes into play a few times and gives more depth to the issues surrounding being a sixth grader. Robert Capron added his acting abilities to the sequel of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" but was also cast in "The Sorcerer's Apprentince" as Young Dave's Pal.

Rachael Harris.

Playing Greg's mother, Susan Heffley, Rachael Harris is the highest ranking female figure in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." Rachael Harris is one of the most famous female comedians in Hollywood. Her ability to bring on the laughs has landed her in a plethora of films and television shows

Steve Zahn.

As Greg's out-of-touch father, Frank, Steve Zahn has a youthlike quality which seems to be perfectly cast for a film about children. In "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" Steve Zahn plays a father trying to stear his family in the best direction. Steve Zahn has an understated humor with each line he delivers, which is perfectly cast for "Diary of a Wimpy Kid."
