  1. Willy Wonka played by Johnny Depp. The creator and proprietor of the most famous chocolate factory in the world. Willy Wonka is an eccentric man searching for the right child to take over his empire. He is one of the best "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" characters because his quirky but honest demeanor. 
  2. Charlie Bucket played by Freddie Highmore . Charlie is a poor kid that wins a trip to the Wonka candy factory. Charlie Bucket is the only child that has the qualities that Wonka wants. He is one of the best characters in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" characters because he is an honest and good kid. 
  3. Oompa-Loompas all played by Deep Roy. Oompa-Loompas are the Wonka chocolate factory workers from Loompaland. They are small, orange and work for cacao beans. The Oompa-Loompas sing and dance about the stupidity of the kids and parents that visit.
  4. Grandpa Joe played by David Kelly.  The grandfather of Charlie Bucket and the adult that accompanies him to the chocolate factory. Joe, unlike the other adults, acknowledges that Wonka has insight and not just odd. Grandpa Joe is in the best of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" characters line-up because of his strong belief in his grandson, Charlie.
  5. Mike Teavee played by Jordan Fry. Mike Teavee is one of the kids that win a golden ticket enters the Willy Wonka factory.  Mike’s addiction to television leads him to take over the chocolate television to shrink himself. Mike represents kids and their obsession with television.
