  2. “Ghost” (1990). Who could forget the sexy pottery scene between the two lovers. This story was about a man who was accidentally killed in a botched robbery and his soul stays on earth to protect his wife and to find his murderer.

  3. “Pearl Harbor” (2001). Story about two men who become pilots and go off to war. One falls in love with a nurse but during the chaos of the war is presumed dead. His best friend then steps in to comfort the widow and falls for her only to discover his friend isn’t dead at all. Love triangle at its best.

  4. “Jerry Maguire” (1996). Coined the phrase, “Show me the money!” In this top ten romantic movie a sport’s agent gets a conscious and in turn loses all his clients but one. There by his side is the only person in the office who believed in him. Other coined phrases, “You had me at hello” and “You complete me.”

  5. “An Officer and a Gentleman.” (1982). A gritty story about a young man who wants to fly jets. He struggles but gets through with the help of his new found girlfriend. Famous scene when he comes in full uniform into the factory she works and sweeps her off her feet away to a fairy tale ending.

  6. “The Bodyguard” (1992). A diva pop singer needs a bodyguard. With her life in danger the two quietly fall in love. Not only is this one of the top ten romantic movies but has one of the best soundtracks of any movie. You go Whitney Houston!

  7. “Indecent Proposal” (1993). A married woman is offered $1 million dollars to have sex with a rich man. They don’t fall in love but the love with her husband remains unbreakable.

  8. “Cold Mountain” (2003). Period piece set during the civil war. A wounded Confederate soldier struggles to get back home to the woman he loves.

  9. “Out of Africa” (1985). One of the best top ten romantic movies that started the wheel turning in the quality romantic epic movies. Story about a Danish plantation owner in a marriage of convenience who falls in love with a free-spirited game hunter. Tragic ending, they don’t end up in a happily ever after.

  10. “Brokeback Mountain” (2005). One most controversial love story about two cowboys who were hired to herd sheep in the Wyoming Mountains. Isolation drew them together but it wasn’t until the season ended that they realized it wasn’t a physical connection. They had fallen in love.
