The Blind Side Cast

The Blind Side Cast family film "The Blind Side." Two cast members have won an Oscar, while another is a Grammy Award winning musician. "The Blind Side" is the true story of professional football player Micheal Oher‘s adolescence. The story is about how the Tuohy family took in and adopted Oher. The heartwarming story was critically and commercially successful partly due to  “The Blind Side” cast member Sandra Bullock's award winning performance.

	In 2010, Bullock won a Best Actress <a href=Oscar for her portrayal of Leigh Anne Tuohy in "The Blind Side." In the same year she was awarded a Razzie for Worst Actress due to her performance in the 2009 movie "All About Steve." This "The Blind Side" cast member started making waves with her roles in "Demolition Man" and "Speed." She gained the nickname American's Sweetheart by starring in many commercially successful romantic comedies including "The Proposal," "The Lake House," "While You Were Sleeping" and "Miss Congeniality." Her first movie since "The Blind Side" will be 2012's "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close."

Tim McGraw.

Born in 1967, this "The Blind Side" cast member's real name is Samuel Timothy Smith. He later found out his father was baseball player Frank McGraw, and changed his last name to McGraw. Before becoming an actor he made a name for himself as a popular country music star. His first acting gig was in 1997 on an episode of, "The Jeff Foxworthy Show." Since then, he has been featured in the films, "The Kingdom," "Flicka," "Four Christmases" and "Country Strong." He has been married to female country music star Faith Hill since 1996, and they currently have three children together. This "The Blind Side" cast member portrayed Michael Oher's adoptive father Sean Tuohy.

Kathy Bates.

	Born and raised in <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/memphis/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>Memphis</a>, Tennessee, Bates started off acting in the <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/theater/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>theater</a> before making the jump to film star. This "The Blind Side" cast member had her first big break in 1978 with the movie "Straight Time." She went on to win a Best Actress Oscar and Golden Globe in 1990 with her role in the <a href='http://www.screenjunkies.com/tag/horror-movie-37/' class='linkify' target='_blank'>horror movie</a> "Misery." Other popular movies this "Blind Side" cast member was a part of include"Revolutionary Road," "Titanic" and "Fried Green Tomatoes." In 2010, she had a six episode stint on the television show "The Office" as Jo Bennett. In "The Blind Side" she played Miss Sue, who was Michael Oher's tutor.</p>

This "The Blind Side" cast member played Michael Oher. "The Blind Side" was his first lead role in a feature film. He was born in the Bronx, but raised in Augusta Georgia. The first movie he was a part of was 2008's "Be Kind Rewind," in which he portrayed Q. Since he was a part of "The Blind Side" cast, Quinton Aaron has guest starred on a slew television shows including "One Tree Hill," "Mercy" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." 

Jae Head.

The adorable Tuohy son S.J. was played by this "The Blind Side" cast member. He was also a cast member in the popular 2008 superhero movie "Hancock." His first acting experience was in 2005 as a guest role in the television show "How I Met Your Mother." He has also guest starred in "Friday Night Lights," "MADtv" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." In 2012, he can be seen in the movie "Climbing Life."
