CIA Movies

CIA movies have always been popular, mainly because no one is really sure what goes on in that agency. Some CIA movies take a humorous approach to the agency while others go with explosions and countless deaths. Below are a few CIA movies you may want to check out. Almost all of them promise some form of explosion.

  1. "The Recruit." After being recruited by the CIA, Colin Farrell's character is betrayed by Al Pacino into thinking he actually still works for the CIA. A great movie with terrific actors. It's Pacino after all.
  2. "Spies Like Us." Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd star as members of a decoy group being sent into Russian territory. Through a series of misadventures, they end up being the world's only chance of stopping a nuclear bomb. This movie is probably the best CIA comedy on the list.
  3. "Spy Game." Robert Redford and Brad Pitt star in this CIA movie about having to go against the code of conduct in order to rescue a friend. The movie is skillfully written and Redford convinces the viewer that he may actually be CIA material.
  4. "True Lies." Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis are in this movie which begins with a wife thinking her husband is basically a loser instead of one of the best CIA agents. When she gets kidnapped, Arnold must use everything around him to destroy buildings and bad guys to rescue his wife. Not much remains when he is finished.
  5. "Enemy of the State." In this CIA movie starring Will Smith and Gene Hackman, Smith accidentally gets entangled in a CIA plot. Many cars are destroyed and several people are shot. A great movie if you want to see things being destroyed.
  6. "Real Men." Jim Belushi and John Ritter star in this movie about a CIA agent and an insurance salesman taking on aliens who threaten Earth. Unfortunately, while Belushi's character is an excellent shot at the beginning of the movie, when he falls in love he loses his ability to aim. Not many people have seen this CIA movie, but it is definitely one of the funnier one out there.
  7. "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind." Claiming to be based on a true story, this movie shows TV star Chuck Barris working on television during the day and then as a CIA assassin at night. An all-star cast really brings this movie to life. It is also a good movie for people who want to see what goes on inside of the mind of someone working for the CIA.
  8. "Patriot Games." Harrison Ford stars in this CIA movie about an analyst who interferes with an IRA assassination and then his family gets kidnapped. This movie is actually a continuation of "The Hunt for Red October." Watch for lots of people to be killed in this movie as Jack Ryan stops at nothing to get his family back.
  9. "The Bourne Identity." Matt Damon plays Bourne, a man who is on the run from the CIA. Throughout the movie, he must fight his way to recovering his true identity and life. It's a good thing he can remember his former training as a CIA assassin.
  10. "Femme Fontaine: Killer Babe for the C.I.A." A beautiful and scantly clad woman works for the CIA to avenge her murdered Buddhist mentor while dealing with lesbian Nazi-like enemies. There is a plot line, action and beautiful women. Many guys will probably watch this movie after they finish reading this.
