10 Best Love Movie Songs

Whether you are looking for a song to have your wedding dance to or something to play during a romantic dinner, one of the 10 best love movie songs is sure to fit the bill. These songs will stand the test of time.

  1. “My Heart Will Go On” ("Titanic"): Celine Dion delivered what is now the best known love song to ever exist. This powerful ballad is legendary and a favorite of many.
  2. “I Finally Found Someone” ("The Mirror Has Two Faces"): Barbra Streisand and Bryan Adams team up in beautiful harmony in this song. This song was nominated for an Oscar, and many people have covered the song.
  3. “Someone to Watch Over Me” ("My Gentleman Friend"): Many versions have been recorded. Blossom Dearie’s version in “My Gentleman Friend” stands above the rest.
  4. “I Will Always Love You” ("The Bodyguard"): Whitney Houston belted out this song in the movie “The Bodyguard” and made it a favorite of many. In fact, this song has been included in numerous greatest movie song CDs.
  5. “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” ("The Lion King"): Even Disney movies can melt your heart. Elton John performed this song, and his performance was truly beautiful.
  6. “Wind Beneath My Wings”: This song was originally released in 1982, but it became famous after Bette Midler performed it for the soundtrack of “Beaches” in 1990. Her version made the song become a U.S. Number One single.
  7. “I Say a Little Prayer” ("My Best Friend’s Wedding"): There have been many versions of this song, but one stands out. Diana King belted this out for “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” making this song a classic.
  8. “You're The One That I Want” ("Grease"): Olivia Newton John performed this song for the popular musical “Grease.” The catchy melody of this song makes it a favorite of many.
  9. “It Must Have Been Love” ("Pretty Woman"): This song, performed by Roxette, has been used in many movies. It is best known from “Pretty Woman” and the song is sure to make every woman go “awww” just like the movie did.
  10. Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” ("10 Things I Hate About You"): This is not a typical love movie, and probably an unconventional choice for this list. Heath Ledger, however, has an amazing voice and it would be a shame to not include him on the list of best love movie songs.

    Just like to add that Heath Ledger was trying to song badly in that scene! The director kept telling him to sing it worse, LOL! Yes his voice was that good. He also sings in Roar and A Knights Tale and Lords Of Dogtown, plus a bit of humming in Brokeback Mountain. I totally agree with you :)
