Will Ferrell – Brennan Huff. Fans of Ferrell will no doubt enjoy his performance in "Step Brothers." He is at his ditzy best cast as a maladjusted jobless goofball with no prospects and a checkered past. Ferrell is probably most famous for his role as Ron Burgundy in the 2004 comedy “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.”
John C. Reilly – Dale Doback. Reilly is cast as the other step brother in the film. He and Ferrell are brilliant in their roles even if you are not a fan of the movie. Reilly is multi-talented, showcasing his drumming ability in the movie as Ferrell sings. Reilly also is a good singer, as he showed in the 2007 movie “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.”
Mary Steenburgen – Nancy Huff. Steenburgen plays the role of Ferrell’s mother in "Step Brothers." She marries Reilly’s father which causes the fun to begin. Steenburgen won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1980 movie “Melvin and Howard.”
Richard Jenkins – Dr. Robert Doback. Jenkins is cast as Reilly’s father in the movie, and he has some funny moments of his own. The two step brothers wreak havoc on his character throughout the film. Jenkins was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the 2007 movie “The Visitor.”
Adam Scott – Derek. Scott is Ferrell’s overachieving brother in the movie. His character does not get along with the step brothers and the three have some funny scenes together. Scott was a regular on the cable show “Party Down” and has appeared in many films and television shows.
