The “Toy Story 3” cast has almost completely remained intact since the first movie in the popular Pixar animated series. There have been a few new additions to the lineup and one change, after Jim Varney died, but overall the cast remains familiar to anyone who fell in love with the first chapter in 1995.

  1. Tom Hanks – The most successful member of the “Toy Story 3” cast is Tom Hanks. He plays Woody, the prized cowboy doll and the leader of all the toys in Andy’s room. Hanks is a multi-award winning actor with two Oscar wins.

  2. Tim AllenTim Allen is a successful comedian and the second lead in the “Toy Story 3” cast. Allen portrays the spaceman, Buzz Lightyear who, along with Woody, stands as a leader of Andy’s toys. Allen is most famous for his television role on “Home Improvement.”

  3. Joan Cusack – Joan Cusack plays the cowgirl Jessie. Jessie first appeared in “Toy Story 2” and replaced Bo Peep in “Toy Story 3” as the main female character. Joan Cusack is the sister of actor John Cusack and has been nominated for two Oscars.

  4. Ned Beatty – Legendary actor Ned Beatty plays the bad guy in “Toy Story 3,” Lotso. This character is the ruler of the toys at Sunnyside Daycare and rules with an iron fist. Beatty is an Oscar nominated actor for his role in the 1977 film “Network.”

  5. Don Rickles – Don Rickles has been around since the beginning of the franchise, voicing Mr. Potato Head. Potato Head is the character always questioning authority while bringing much of the physical humor. It is similar to Rickles’ real life persona as an award winning comedian.

  6. Michael Keaton – Another new addition to the “Toy Story 3” cast is Michael Keaton as Ken. Ken is the love interest of Barbie but also works with the side of evil in the daycare center. Keaton is best known to comic book fans everywhere for his role as Batman in the 1989 film.

  7. Wallace Shawn – Wallace Shawn portrays the cowardly dinosaur Rex. Rex has been around since the first movie, the clumsy toy that always ends up getting everyone in trouble. Wallace Shawn is best known for his role as the dastardly kidnapping villain in “The Princess Bride.”

  8. John Ratzenberger - John Ratzenberger is a longtime collaborator with Pixar, providing voices to many of their films. In the “Toy Story 3” cast, he reprises the role of Hamm, the pig. Ratzenberger is best known for his role on the sitcom “Cheers” as the mailman Cliff.

  9. John Morris – John Morris has been with the “Toy Story” franchise since the beginning, which is impressive since he voiced Andy in the first movie while eleven years old. He was 26 when he voiced Andy in “Toy Story 3,” allowing fans to listen as he grows up.

  10. Jodie Benson – The Barbie doll is voiced by one of the most talented animated voice actors in the business in Jodi Benson. While she performed well as part of the “Toy Story 3” cast, she is best known as the voice of Ariel in “The Little Mermaid” and its sequels.
