The top 5 anime movies of 2007 are animated features that scored big in Japan. Most of these films spawned from already popular anime series, such as "Pokémon" and "Detective Conan."

  1. “Pokemon Diamond & Pearl: Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai” As with many films in the "Pokemon" franchise, this one tells the story of a battle between legendary creatures. Ash and his friends stumble into the mix and must find a way to restore peace before the world crumbles. When it hit American shores, this anime movie’s title changed to “Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai.”

  2. “Doraemon: Nobita no Shin Makai Daiboken – Shichinin no Mahotsukai “ This lengthy title roughly translates to “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's New Great Adventure into the Underworld – The Seven Magic Users.” It is based on a comedy manga series by Hiroshi Fujimoto and Moto Abiko. This 2006 anime movie scored 3.54 billion yen in Japan.
