The Flintstones Characters

We all love and remember "The Flintstones" characters from back when we were kids, as this fun animated television show was a huge success and a favorite among children and adults for many years. Maybe you have an absolute favorite character from the show, or maybe you like them all. Whatever brings you here, it really doesn't matter. Below we have a  list of the memorable characters of "The Flintstones" for all you cartoon lovers.

  1. Fred Flintstone. Fred is the main character of the show, and also the man of the house in the Flintstone family. Fred is a quarry worker, who is unusually clumsy and has a bit of a temper problem at times. Despite the temper issues, he is still a wonderful father and husband and an excellent provider. Fred Flintstone is perhaps the most famous character of "The Flintstones", and is a favorite among many fans.
  2. Wilma Flintstone. Wilma lives in the stone age town known as Bedrock with her loving husband, Fred. She has a more calm personality than her husband, and is known to be a bit brainier than him in ways. Wilma may seem like the perfect loving wife, and she is in many ways, but she can also have a bad habit of spending lots of money. She is the typical woman in that sense, but we love her anyway.
  3. Pebbles Flintstone. The Flintstone family has a daughter towards the end of some of the later seasons of the show. They name her "Pebbles", and she is a cute ball of red hair and energy. Her best friend is Bamm-Bamm Rubble, who is the next door neighbor. Pebbles was born on February 22, 10,000 B.C. at the Bedrock Hospital.
  4. Barney Rubble. Barney is Fred Flinstone's next door neighbor, as well as very close friend. Barney Rubble is generally more happy-go-lucky than his best friend Fred, but not quite as smart sometimes. Barney loves sports, including pool, golf, bowling, and poker. He is also a musician and is all around satisfied with how his life is going.
  5. Betty Rubble. Betty is Wilma Flintstone's best friend and neighbor, and is also married to the love of her life, Barney Rubble. She is a very attractive character, sporting a cute black hairdo and stylish green dress. She is known to be a very affectionate wife towards Barney, and a very sociable and friendly companion to Wilma. Her and Wilma often end up thinking of brilliant plans on how to get their mischievous husbands out of trouble.
  6. Bamm-Bamm Rubble. Bamm-Bamm is the Rubble's young son, and best friend to Pebbles Flintstone. He was adopted at an early age, and is oddly strong for such a small boy. Bamm-Bamm is generally more shy and passive than his best friend Pebbles, but the two are inseparable from the first time they meet anyhow.
  7. Dino. We can't make a list of "The Flintstones" characters without mentioning the family pet. Dino is the Flintstone family's pet dinosaur, but he generally acts more like a dog than a dinosaur. He is hyperactive, often knocking over his beloved owner Fred when he is excited to see him. He enjoys barking and running, and is bright purple in color.
