Who are the top ten anime boys in movies? Anime, short for animeshiyon, is a specific style of animation originating in Japan that is typified by stark, colorful graphics. They depict vivid characters in action-filled plots generally with fantastic or futuristic themes. Over the years there have been many anime movies and shows leaving fans to wonder about the best anime boys in movies.

  1. Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke is a main character in the "Naruto" series whose singular goal is to avenge the massacre of his entire clan by killing his brother, Itachi Uchiha, a mission he pursues at all costs. He is Naruto’s chief rival and makes an appearance in the first two "Naruto" featured films.

  2. Naruto Usumaki. Naruto Uzumaki’s positive attitude, despite his lack of family and dark past, makes him one of the most popular anime boys in movies. Often seen with Team 7, Naruto was voted sixth in IGN's Top 25 Anime Characters of All Time rankings.

  3. Son Goku. Son Goku of "Dragon Ball Z" fame burst onto the anime scene on December 3, 1984 and has been a mainstay ever since. The first Super Saiyan in a millennium, Goku has been featured in at least three movies and two pornographic films.

  4. Ichigo Kurosak. Ichigo is the main character in the anime and manga franchise "Bleach" by mangaka Tite Kubo and the star of three films including "Memories of Nobody" and "The Diamond Dust Rebellion." Ranked as one of the top 100 most-loved anime characters, the orange-haired, 15-year-old teenager with the ability to see spirits is one of the top anime boys in movies.

  5. Inuyasha. Inuyasha is a half-demon who travels with high school girl, a monk, and other demons searching for the fragments of the Jewel of Four Souls. The manga had a twelve year run which of course spawned four movies, video games, action figures and the like.

  6. Batou. Batou is one of the main characters in the "Ghost in the Shell" films and the second best melee fighter in "Section 9." With his trademark Jericho 942, a compact S&W pistol and a small semiautomatic shotgun, and DNA-matched prosthetic with a two shot shotgun hidden inside, Batou is clearly one of the toughest anime boys in movies.

  7. Akira. Akira has vast, almost superhuman psychic powers, although by all appearances he resembles a small, everyday boy. He is the catalyst for the destruction of Tokyo and the start of World War III. He is also the star of the eponymous epic action film released in 1988 that is hailed a landmark in Japanese animation and film.

  8. Ashitaka. The 1997 epic Japanese animated historical fantasy feature film "Princess Mononoke" introduced us to Ashitaka on its way to becoming the highest grossing movie in Japan (until "Titanic" was released a few months later) and one of Robert Ebert’s top ten movies of the year. Ashitaka is the last Emishi prince and embarks on a journey to find a cure for his cursed wound.

  9. Jubei Kibagami. "Ninja Scroll"’s main character, Kibagami Jubei, is an homage to the famed Japanese folk hero Yagyu Jubei Mitsuyoshi. The wandering swordsman-for-hire is one of the most popular anime boys in movies, and "Ninja Scroll" is a classic film.

  10. Seita. "Grave of the Fireflies" introduced us to Seita, the narrator of the film Roger Ebert considers to be one of the most powerful anti-war movies ever made. This a moving story and Seita deserves a spot on any list of the top anime boys in movies.
