Transformers Cast

Take a peek at the talented “Transformers” cast. The “Transformers” characters were originally created by Hasbro as a line of toys that then became an animated series. The first live-action “Transformers” movie was released in 2007. The sequel, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, was released in 2009 and the final installment, “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” is set to be released July 2011.

  1. Shia LaBeouf This young actor plays Samuel James Witwicky for the entire series. Witwicky is a teenage boy who discovers that his car is an Autobot and his life is suddenly caught up in the battle for the safety of Earth. LaBeouf is a former child actor who got his first big role as Louis Stevens in Disney’s “Even Stevens.” He has also starred in “Holes,” “Eagle Eye,” “The Greatest Game Ever Played” and “Disturbia.”
  2. Megan Fox LaBeof lucked out when it came to co-stars in the first two “Transformers” with Fox cast as his love interest, Mikaela Banes. Banes is a bit of a tough girl and was right in the middle of the action in the first two movies but is reported to not be in the third.
  3. Josh Duhamel Witwicky needs a grownup to be on his side in order to help the Autobots and that’s exactly what he finds in Captain William Lennox. Duhamel’s character is in all three movies and is later promoted to major. He also appeared on the TV series “All My Children” and was in the movie “Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!”
  4. Ramon Rodriguez Witwicky’s insanely funny college roommate, Leo Spitz, was a memorable character even though he was only around for the last two movies. Spitz ran a website that told the truth about the giant robots. Rodriguez was also in “The Taking of Pelham 123” and “Pride and Glory.”
  5. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Fans of the movies where shocked when they learned that Fox would not be in the third installment. Then fans of the “Transformers” animated series rejoiced when the name of Whiteley’s character was released: Carly. In the animated series, Carly becomes Sam Witwicky’s wife. Is this the same Carly? We’ll have to wait for the movie to find out, but at least the movie has some new eye-candy.
  6. Peter Cullen This talented voice actor gives the voice to Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots. Cullen also did the voice of Prime in the animated series.
  7. Hugo Weaving This noted actor gave the voice for the evil leader of the Decepticons, Megatron. The giant robot is as bad as they come and Weaving does a great job giving him an evil voice.
  8. Mark Ryan The voice of  one of the most popular Autobots. Bumblebee is Witwicky’s guardian and was the first Autobot he interacted with in the movie. Bumblebee has his voicebox damaged, so giving him sound was a bit of a challenge, but Mark Ryan was up for the task.
  9. Isabel Lucas The character Alice, a Decepticon, is only around for the second movie. Lucas is hot as Alice and the scene where her true nature is revealed is one of the best moments out of all the movies. You can also drool over Lucas in “Daybreakers.”
  10. John Hickey The Decepticons aren’t the only bad guys in the movies. Theodore Galloway is the National Security Advisor to the President. Galloway doesn’t like the Autobots at all and doesn’t want their help in the fight. You have to be very talented to play someone that slimy, but Hickey was up for the challenge.
