Movies with a hero are not always about superheroes running around in tights. A movie with a hero is a flick with any person who stands up for himself or other people, even if he doesn't always win in the end.
"Raiders of the Lost Ark" (1981): An essential entry in a series of movies with her Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford), "Raiders of the Lost Ark" follows Jones as he races to find the Ark of the Covenant before a group of Nazis. Full of action and adventure, many consider "Raiders" to be Jones at his best.
"Rocky" (1976): Written by star Sylvester Stallone, "Rocky" is a movie with an unlikely hero: Rocky Balboa, a dedicated but second-rate boxer struggling to make it into the big league. Rocky' drive and the people around him ultimately help him achieve his goal despite the odds against him.
"Alien" (1979): A thrilling science fiction movie about an unsuspecting space mining crew's entrance into alien territory, "Alien" is a movie with a hero of the female persuasion: Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), a tough crew member determined to make it out alive.
"Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991): In this sequel to the 1984 film "Terminator," the Terminator himself (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is no longer the villain, making this a movie with an unusual hero. Now determined to save mankind's young future savior John Connor (Edward Furlong), whose mother (Linda Hamilton) he tried to kill in the first film, the Terminator must fight an even more advanced terminator (Robert Patrick) in a race against time.
