Carl Fredreicksen a 78-year-old gentlemen ties thousands of balloons to his house in order to fullfill a lifelong dream and promise to his wife. However, after he lifts off he finds, Russell, a wilderness explorer, has stowed away on the trip.
  3. “Star Trek” was a great movie in a long list of "Star Trek" movies and TV shows. This movie is a chronicle of the early days of James T. Kirk and his fellow crew members. The visual effects will keep you on the edge of your seat.
  4. “Fantastic Mr. Fox” is the most unique film on this list and follows a fox that can’t resist returning to his old ways of farm raiding. However, because of his actions, Mr. Fox must strive to help his community face the retaliation of the farmers he has raided.
  5. “Zombieland” In this movie, zombies have taken over America and a college student from Texas is attempting to get back home to see if his family is okay. He has managed to survive by following his “30 rules,” some of which include: look in the back seat, shoot twice and avoid public restrooms. He meets up with a gentleman from Florida who hates zombies and enjoys killing them.
  6. “Coraline” is an intense animated film where a girl finds another world. However, it’s an idealized version of what her current home is. Not everything is what it seems and this new world has its own sinister secrets.
  7. “Sherlock Holmes”Is a great adventure movie with a lot of laughs. Sherlock Holmes is joined by his trusty companion, Watson, and together they fight in a battle of wits and brawn with a nemesis whose main plot is a threat against England.
  8. “Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince” is a great movie in an amazing series. This is Harry Potter’s sixth year at Hogwarts and this year he discovers a book that is marked: “Property of the Half-Blood Prince.” The action and storyline will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time.
  9. “The Road” is one of the lesser known movies on this list. It is about a man and his son who are trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. The story is intense and touching at the same time.
  10. “Monsters vs. Aliens” is a great action movie for children and shouldn’t be missed. A meteorite causes a woman to become a giant and the military captures her and holds her captive with other aliens/monsters. However, the movie really kicks in to high gear when an alien robot lands on earth and tries to take over.
