The 10 best action movies of the 80's kind of tell a story about what movies were like in that decade. They also star some of the best actors and actresses of the 80's. These movies remain the favorites of many people.

  1. The “Empire Strikes Back” is a best action movie of the 80's and came out in 1980. Now known as “Star Wars: Episode V,” in its time it was the second “Star Wars” movie. In this movie, Luke is busy in Jedi training while his friends are being stalked by the dark and sinister Darth Vader.
  2. 1984's “The Terminator” was the first of what would become Arnold Schwarzenegger's best movie series. He is the bad guy in this first one, but he does it so well. The cyborg from the future is on the hunt to find and destroy Sarah Connor.
  3. In 1981, the first “Indiana Jones” movie was brought to the big screen with “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” In this film Harrison Ford, at Indiana Jones, is hired by the United States government to find the Ark of the Covenant.
