The internal and external struggles that Batman endures to stop the Joker help to add to the action that makes this movie exciting.

"Star Trek" (2009). The producers did everything right in this re-boot of the famous television and movie series. The action is non-stop, the characters are familiar but the results are less than expected.
"V for Vendetta" (2006). This movie can be hard to follow sometimes, but the intense action scenes make it fun to watch. We never get to see Hugo Weaving's face from under his character's mask, but we feel his pain and root for his cause.
"Sherlock Holmes" (2009). From beginning to end, this movie never stops delivering action and suspense. Dr. Watson (Jude Law) spends most of his time trying to back out of the adventures, but he always finds himself intimately involved in every exciting detail.
